Morena e te whanau, Ōpōtiki riders are invited to be part of an exciting new local initiative with the launch of the Ōpōtiki Barrel Racing Series.

Created to support the community through rising costs and help keep horses race-fit ahead of the next rodeo season, this series brings a great opportunity to train, compete, and stay connected locally. Developed with guidance from experienced rodeo riders and with the support of the Ōpōtiki Rodeo Club, it is set to be a strong addition to the local scene.

The series will align with the Taupo Barrel Series, allowing riders to grow together and track their progress. More details, including registration and rules in line with the NZ Rodeo Cowboys Association, will be released soon.
