Whānau Awhi Parent Support Group Opotiki

Connect with others who truly understand at the Parent Support Group in Ōpōtiki.

Join Whānau Awhi and Parent to Parent for relaxed, welcoming meet ups designed especially for parents and carers of disabled children, neurodivergent children, and children with health impairments. Enjoy a free coffee while sharing real conversations with people who get it.

These regular support groups offer a safe, judgement free space for whānau to talk openly about challenges, celebrate wins, ask questions, and learn from one another. No topic is too unusual and no concern is dismissed. This is a community built on understanding and support.

Whether you want to share a struggle, celebrate a success, raise a concern, or simply sit down for a cuppa and chat, you are always welcome. Children are welcome too, and you are free to drop in for as little or as long as suits you.

If you are looking for genuine parent support in Ōpōtiki and the wider Whakatāne district, come along and be part of a caring local network. Just show up on the day and we will see you there.
